Supporters

Supporters

I do not know what the FO has against it's supporters. Yes, we cuss. Yes, it gets a little wild. Yes, the RARE smoke bomb does happen. What is the big deal? There are other supporters groups that do this and never hear a whisper about being banned, Arrested, or Threatened. We are wanting the same from our FO. Let us do what we do best. BE SUPPORTERS! Is it really that bad that a smoke bomb was set off in the stands? Was anyone killed? Did anyone die? From the reaction you would think so.

The recent problems between the FO and El Matador hurts everyone. They set off a smoke bomb which we all know is not allowed, but what is the problem? I refer back the first paragraph. It was done in a safe spot and nobody got hurt or killed. The FO may be using it as an excuse to get rid of some of the hardcore supporters....who knows. I myself got "Banned" for a game for a smoke bomb going off. I was not even approached about it, or shown evidence. Just walked up to the gate and my ticket got denied, so I just kept walking in.

So El matador. We support you. It is time for change in the FO's eyes on there supporters. Let us support the team. As long as flares and smoke bombs are not flying onto the field I do not see what the big deal is. This is also an hot topic in the MLS FO. I leave you with this video. Listen to the announcer. Step up FC Dallas! Step up MLS! It is time to show true support!

This was in Chicago.

  1. If it was the first time they had been warned fine. This has happened on multiple occasions and unlike Chicago in the video you reference, incendiary devices are illegal at Frisco sporting stadiums.Chicago has a fire marshall on hand and there are sand buckets to safely dispose of the flares, as it IS allowed in that stadium. It is not allowed in Frisco.

There is an MLS Fan Code of Conduct that every person agrees to when they purchase a ticket. It is in the print on the ticket and there are signs posted at entrances and it is also posted on fcdallas.com... soke and flares are forbidden.

The problem between a handful of fans and FO does not affect everyone. It affects El Matador only. Other SGs manage to work with the FO to support the team. FC Dallas FO has been more than accomodating to supporters groups. They have provided storage for TIFO and drums, water in section on hot days, and even offered to move us to the shade on 100+ degree days to prevent any heat related illnesses.

The FO allows us to be supporters, but there comes a time when all supporters have to accept responsibility for following stadium, MLS and City rules and laws. El Matador are not victims in this, they new the consequences and were warned. THEY chose to ignore the warning and are now paying for their mistake. Had the one member been responsible and accepted the individual 6 game ban then there would have been no further action and EM could have supported FCD as per the norm.

    1. then sit away from the supporters section. It's not a mystery where the occasional flare/smoke will occur in the stadium. Asthma sounds like your problem and you should plan accordingly rather than take away from what others are trying to build.

More could be done to accommodate El Matador considering they are the ones trying to recreate the atmosphere that everyone lushes over & MLS HQ promotes via media outlets. But I guess since EM doesn't shove their nose up the FO ass - they get the treatment they do.

  3. Go fuck your self i was sitting in those seats way before the supporters section was even their.. Why should I have to move because you are a bunch of ignorant bastards who do not understand how to follow the rules of the stadium and then get pissed and act like a bunch of school girls when you get in trouble

    2. That was not very mature at all. I think we found our potty mouth in the stands.

  4. Great way to attract people to your blog, by insulting them. First, I was stating facts and not HATING. My opinion is different from yours and I explain myself so I am a martr and a dumbass. Don't think that is accurate. I just think that facts speak to the truth and I don't support something when I don't have the truth. If EM wants people to back them on their claim of unfair treatment, be transparent and tell the whole list of facts instead of trying to play off peoples emotions. Names dates and facts are all I want to hear.

Unfair treatment of EM? I think giving multiple warnings and space on fcdallas.com for them to recruit is fair. Taking the website privalage away from them because they didn't listen to the warnings is ALSO FAIR! Three years ago I remember seeing about 12 EM behind the goal. Now if I see 5 or 6 that is alot. Have they done a good job recruiting and growing their SG? Don't misunderstand me, as I think their banners and energy is great, but you have no group without responsible leaders that are willing to listen to everyone and give people what they can relate to. That is why there have been so many groups that have come and gone and the only originals are the inferno. From being on their boards since 2005 you can't say Inferno kiss ass to get what they need to survive. Looks like they are realists and cooperate with fcd for the best interests of their members and the team.

Vicki, you do have a way with words. Nobody wanted to start a turf war here, I am sure. If we keep personal attacks out of it and dont call people names and are TRUTHFUL and factual then nobody gets hurt. That goes for EVERYONE who posted here... no exceptions.

    1. No. I returned to defend myself against the name calling. In case you forgot what you said

"Who is this Dumbass? Did you not read this at all? You just blindly post like you are some type of martyr. Go support where ever it is you support and don't hate. We do not talk shit about the other groups yet you act like a 5 year old and post dumb shit."

The truth hurts... doesn't it? The more insults you throw my way and the more times you try to defend the indefensable, the more YOU look like (using YOUR words) "a Dumbass, and you act like a 5 year old and post dumb shit."

I am all in favor of people supporting with their individual styles. Whether or not the ban was justifiable? Look to the facts and decide, rather than believing the half truths of a group that breaks rules, endangers people, and lies. Those are facts and I wish you good luck in your group and blog.

Having passion for FCD is to be admired. Having an issue with FCD because of unheaded warnings and then lieing to recruit allies is NEVER admirable... and that is what El Matador is doing.

    2. The funny thing about trolls? They are always burning the bridges they want to terrorize.

      Please find another bridge.

    3. No terrorizing here... just asking El Matador to own up and be honest. I don't blame SBE for being lied to by them. I know the Sherman supporters love FCD and send no ill wishes your way, despite being called some names by SBE. I wish EM would be honest and admit the WHOLE TRUTH. They tell what suits their agenda, and it ISN'T fair to the many fans out there who have been coersed by EM lies into supporting their cause.

BTW I like this bridge, until I find a different one built on a foundation of lies, I think I will "troll" a while longer.
